James Oliver Carter
James Oliver “Jimmy” Carter was born in 1949 and grew up in Wilmington, NC. A graduate of Wake Forest University (B.A. 1971; J.D., 1974), Jimmy was admitted to the North Carolina Bar in 1974, and he has been in private practice in Wilmington and southeastern North Carolina for 49 years.

Oliver represents a wide variety of clients within the debtor-creditor context, including creditors and debtors in Ch. 7, Ch. 11, and Ch. 13 bankruptcies; adversary proceedings; state court litigation, and workouts.
